Project Why UK
Sponsor A Child
Due to the current economic situation Project Why is currently running out of money. Therefore, it has started a sponsorship programme "Sponsor A Child" to help sustain the Project in the long term.
You can sponsor 2 kindergarden children, or 4 primary or secondary education children or the day care for 1 special needs child for £15 per month which you can pay into our UK bank account by direct debit or standing order (see below.)
This covers all expenses, including rent, teacher salaries, supplies, transportation (if necessary), field trips or outings, and any other required cost. Kindergarten students and children with special needs are more expensive to sponsor as they are younger and require a smaller teacher to student ratio and transportation to and from their homes. Ideally, we hope to find sponsors who can commit to donating on a long-term basis to ensure the financial stability of our education programs. As a sponsor, you will be assigned students based on your age and gender preferences.
For this money you will receive, news pictures and information about your student’s class twice a year, 1 around November for Diwali (Indian equivalent of Christmas) and 1 in April around the time the children’s exam results are released. You will also have access to a blog which will keep you updated about all the things that are happening in various classes. (Please see the sponsorship programme FAQ's.)
Due to the nature and scope of our organizations, we cannot guarantee that the same students will remain in a class year after year. However, if one of your children moves away or leaves for any reason, you will be given a new child from the same class
Please note that all correspondence is done by email not by post.
